Great Options for Great Coverage

Depending on your employer’s agreement with Progyny, you’ll have access to a certain number of “Smart Cycles.” Your plan may include whole Smart Cycles, or only partial ones: of one quarter, one half, or three quarters. These whole or partial units (or Smart Cycles) act as a benefit currency for infertility treatment, medication, testing and more. 

One of the ways you can use your Progyny benefits is to help cover the cost of frozen donor eggs from Donor Egg Bank USA. 


You can use your Smart Cycle benefits for our Single Egg Lot Plan or our Double Egg Lot Plan. One whole Smart Cycle will cover the purchase of one Single Egg Lot Plan, to provide you with one egg lot. Two Smart Cycles, can be used to cover the purchase of a Double Egg Lot Plan, providing you with two egg lots.

And, if your plan allows, you may also use your Smart Cycles, outside of Donor Egg Bank USA, to cover expenses for other aspects of your journey — such as IVF, IUI, and ICI procedures, and frozen embryo transfers.

This way, you can use your Carrot debit card to purchase directly from us. No need to worry about submittaing claims or waiting for reimbursements.

To apply your benefits with Donor Egg Bank, simply confirm your membership status with one of our family building consultants. They’ll guide you through the process and ensure you receive your discount. Maven’s membership app will help to verify the funds you have available. After you’ve completed your purchase(s), you will have the ability to submit your claim and receipt for reimbursement.
